Education​

 

Born in Cambrils, she started her musical studies at the music school in Cambrils at the age of 5, with Enric Prats. She finished "Grau Professional" in Vilaseca Music Conservatory, with David Blay, getting the honor prizes of cello and chamber music. She has received masterclasses from Gary Hoffman, Leonid Gorokhov, Roel Dieltiens, Asier Polo and Màrius Díaz, between others. She has graduated from the Bachelor of cello performance in Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht (Netherlands), with Timora Rosler as main teacher, and Viola de Hoog as baroque cello teacher.

She plays the piano since age 4, and has received lessons as a second main subject.

Career

 

She has performed on many stages, as a soloist as well as in chamber music or orchestra: auditori Josep Carreras, auditori Pau Casals, cripta de l'Ermita de Cambrils, Palau de la Música Catalana or Tivoli Vredenburg Utrecht. She has also collaborated with Museu Pau Casals performing J.S.Bach suites and she is a member of ESTA Nederland (European String Teachers Association) where she actively participates.

Vision

 

I believe in music as an art that came out of the need for expressing everything that we cannot do in any other way. My work as a musician and teacher is based on transmitting to others the essence of music, parallel to the development of the necessary techniques to make it happen. 

The three basic principles of my methodology are the nurture of the student's intrinsic motivation, the development of student's independence as a musician, and the creation of a safe space, where the student develops a growth mindset, seeing failure as an opportunity for learning.
